I work as a recruiting partner for TUI Cruises which is a leading cruise line company in Germany. Our fleet is offering cruises Worldwide and is one of the biggest cruise lines in Europe.
The company is currently hiring broadcast technicians from Europe to work on board 7 ships from Mein Schiff fleet. There are already 2 ships operating after COVID break and more are to follow from March 2021.
Broadcast Technician is primarily responsible for operating the broadcast center and for carrying out any related duties. Most of the equipment is Blackmagic. Here are some of the duties:
- Updating the Daily Programme via ARENA Charts – Production and postproduction of „Mein Schiff aktuell” with Cruise Director
- Ensuring and checking ports transmissions (SKY)
- Providing theatre show transmission to TV and saving for archives
- Ensuring reception of SAT channels
Starting salary is 2300 EUR/month net (no additional fees). During 3-4 months contract company provides accommodation in a private cabin, food, full insurance, health care and all travel arrangements. Technicians stay on the ship for the duration of the contract and can enjoy most of the public areas together with cruising guests. Cruises are mostly around Europe, Caribbean and Asia. Evening working hours allow exploring the ports of call.
On 28th and 29th of January we will be interviewing applicants together with managers from TUI Cruises. Interviews will be on Skype and contracts for the rest of the year will be assigned. This is a great job opportunity for people who like to work and travel.
